Minnesota's Jim Thome has moved into a tie for eighth place on baseball's all-time home run list with Frank Robinson, after hitting No. 586. Thome went deep in the sixth inning on a 3-2 count, giving the Twins a 10-2 lead over Kansas City on Tuesday night. This was Thome's 22nd homer of the season, estimated by the team's media relations staff at 452 feet.
